Richell Press Release - 9/1/09

RICHELL USA’s NEW PAW TRAX® UNVEILED:

PAW TRAX® Super Absorbent Doggy Pads ~ A Totally New Name, New Packaging and New 12-Pack!

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX (September 1, 2009) – In an effort to promote the quality and integrity of Richell USA’s PAW TRAX® Super Absorbent Training Pads, Richell is unveiling some major revisions to the line this month.  For starters, Richell changed the name from “training pads” to “doggy pads” to attract a broader consumer base. The doggy pad is highly recommended for puppies as well as adult and senior dogs. Next, buyers and consumers alike are going to love the totally new packaging that now includes a more vibrant, pet-friendly look that’s sure to POP off the retail shelf! And last but not least, in an effort to give consumers an opportunity to test the quality of the doggy pad and come back for more, Richell added a 12-pack to its existing line of 30 and 50-pack bags.

Why go through all the trouble? Because Richell USA knows when it has a diamond in the rough and the diamond, in this case, is the doggy pad itself.
The new PAW TRAX® Super Absorbent Doggy Pad is specifically designed to withstand lots of moisture, dry quickly, control odor and wetness, and protect floor surfaces. The quality and durability of the doggy pad is due to the unique four-layer design that works together to make the pad SUPER absorbent:

  • The quilted pad surface dries quickly and is designed to keep liquid from spreading on contact.
  • The second layer consists of an absorbent sheet that blocks excess moisture and keeps it from seeping up to the pad surface.
  • The third layer includes an absorbent material that works as a gel to control nasty pet odor.
  • The final layer is a plastic sheet that works to protect floor surfaces from any kind of leakage.

In addition, because the doggy pad dries out quickly and controls odor, it’s reusable. The pad can be used more than once before discarding, which eventually saves time and money in the long run. There’s no need to worry about soiled carpet stains or damaged hardwood floors either because the bottom plastic layer shields floor surfaces from moisture damage. And best of all, there’s no more surprises! When trained to use the doggy pad properly, dogs can be left home alone! No more pet stains, no more pet odor, no more surprises . . . period!

Richell’s doggy pad is also perfect for travel and can be used in kennels and crates. The pad measures 17.7” x 23.6” and is perfect for the small to medium-sized indoor dog. The suggested retail price for the 12-pack is $7.99, the 30-pack is $15.99, and the 50-pack is $24.99. Also available for purchase is the PAW TRAX® Training Tray, which is designed to hold the pad firmly in place using a snap-lock frame. The pad can be used with or without the tray.
